“Hollywood Game Night” Gets Christmas Special December 2nd

One of the summer's most popular unscripted shows, Hollywood Game Night, is currently taping its second series for the Summer season.  However, you won't have to wait long to see a new episode.  NBC has announced a special Holiday edition of the Jane Lynch-hosted game show for December 2nd at 10:00PM ET.  It gets a very coveted post-The Voice time slot.  Ray Romano, Cheryl Hines, Gavin DeGraw, Rachel Bilson, Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker will all play various games with two civilian contestants to win up to $25,000 (and some money for their charities).  A full season of the show begins in 2014.  Looking forward to the show's return?

Weekend Replay: Big Money on Dutch “Deal or No Deal” Thumbnail

Weekend Replay: Big Money on Dutch “Deal or No Deal”

We haven't taken a look at a show abroad in a while.  Let's visit the Netherlands and their version, the original version, of Deal or No Deal.  It's been on the air since 2000 and it's still going strong.  They found the formula to make it work: make it a big event show, make the money huge (but still never give away anything out of the ordinary), and air it only a few times a year to make people watch.  It's why, even though I can barely understand what they are saying, it's hard to not get wrapped up in the fun and drama. This clip is from last weekend's episode. You don't need to understand Dutch to feel the emotional pain you're about to go through. Click here to watch and let us know what you think of this version of the show.

Cassidy Schlitz Wins $100,000 on “The Price is Right”; Second Highest Daytime Winner Thumbnail

Cassidy Schlitz Wins $100,000 on “The Price is Right”; Second Highest Daytime Winner

This week's Big Money Week on The Price is Right kicked off just about as large as possible.  Contestant Cassidy Schlitz was lucky enough to make it on stage to play the pricing game Half Off, the day's "Big Money" game, for $100,000.  Its usual prize is $10,000.  Sixteen boxes are presented to Cassidy.  One has $100,000 and the rest have nothing.  She must select the correct box to win.  Cassidy was lucky enough to correctly identify the price of three prizes and narrow her odds from 1/16 to 1/2 (each correct prize guess removes half of the boxes).  Left with boxes 5 and 14, Cassidy chose 5, opened the lid, and saw $100,000 in cash sitting inside.  Click here to learn more and see the big win.
