GSN Renews Idiotest for Second Season

GSN’s brain teaser game show gets picked up for 65 episodes.

GSN has announced the popular puzzle game show Idiotest will return for a second season. The Ben Gleib-hosted game has earned a 65 episode pickup. This is GSN’s 3rd consecutive freshman series pickup, following It Takes a Chunch and Skin Wars.

Coming out of GSN’s most watched summer ever, Idiotest’s first season was seen by more than 12 million people, nearly doubling the time period average, year to date, among women 18-49. It also scored high overall youth demographics, among the network’s highest, on a consistent basis.

“Idiotest‘s fresh take on brain teasers has resulted in ratings success for GSN in every daypart, across all demographics” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive vice president, programming, GSN. “Our audience loves Ben Gleib’s irreverent repartee with contestants on air and with fans online, and we are thrilled that he will continue to host the next 65 episodes.”

Idiotest pits two teams against each other to solve brain teasers for a potential top prize of $10,000. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it. It was a bit of a slow-builder, but it’s turned into a very fun and entertaining series. I can’t wait to see what they do with the next batch of episodes.
