Test Your Trivia Mettle At SporcleCon 2022
The trivia convention will be hosted by Jeopardy! superchampion Austin Rogers.
Sporcle—you know, that website with all the fun interactive quizzes that also do live trivia around the country?—is dipping their toes into the Live Event sphere with their first-ever SporcleCon, a weekend of trivia competitions, puzzle rooms, game show experiences, and more.
Hosting the weekend is bartender, author and Jeopardy! super champion Austin Rogers. “Without SPORCLE, my time on Jeopardy! would have been much shorter!” says Rogers. “Some of my closest friends and fellow Jeopardy! Champions all say the same thing – SPORCLE is the perfect training ground for success on the show.” Top 40 Billboard Band Lawrence will entertain con-goers throughout the weekend with their soul-pop stylings.
If you’re looking to follow in Austin’s footsteps, a live Jeopardy! try-out will happen at SporcleCon. Trivia aficionados will also enjoy LearnedLeague Live, a live event hosted by the famous trivia league; game show fans will appreciate BuzzerBlog’s own Cory Anotado and Christian Carrion hosting a live version of their Game Show Gauntlet, and the cornerstone showcase event, the Battle of the Brains, will have cash prizes for the winners. Before SporcleCon, attendees will choose one of five charities that they’re representing over the course of the weekend: the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the Equal Justice Initiative, The New Teacher Project, One Tree Planted, and Petey & Friends. Charity points will be earned for each event attended and/or placed in. At the end of the weekend, Sporcle will make donations to the charities based on overall points earned collectively throughout the weekend.
