GSN’s American Bible Challenges Premiers Tonight
GSN’s blockbuster ratings hit, the American Bible Challenge, premieres tonight with a two-hour block of new episodes.
In season 3, 18 teams start to compete to determine who has the biggest knowledge of the Bible.
New games this season put the contestant’s spiritual and physical talents to the test with new categories that have contestants guessing whether given words are from the Bible or in Klingon; deciphering Bible passages that have been “autocorrected” ala your iPhone; and interpreting sensational tabloid-style Biblical headlines.
Each team competes on behalf of a charitable organization and the winning team is named champion of the American Bible Challenge. Jeff Foxworthy reprises his role as host and Kirk Franklin returns as the show’s choir leader. The American Bible Challenge has been a juggernaut for GSN, with a peak of 1.7 million viewers for season 1’s premier. GSN’s primary audience of women 18-49 tuned in in droves: year-to-year increases of over 30% viewership.
The American Bible Challenge premiers tonight at 8 PM for a 2-hour premiere on GSN.
