Jeopardy: The Greatest of All Times Grows to 14.8 Million Viewers for Match Two
ABC’s Jeopardy! tournament grew on night two and nearly doubled the second most-watched show of the evening.
America can’t get enough Jeopardy!. Match two of ABC’s limited run Jeopardy!: The Greatest of All Time tournament grew to 14.8 million viewers, up from the 14.4 million viewers on night one. This is 47% larger than the second most watched show of the evening, NBC’s Chicago Fire (7.9 million viewers). We haven’t seen numbers like this for game shows in primetime since Deal or No Deal 15 years ago.
Breaking down the half-hours shows the real power of Jeopardy!. The 8:00PM ET half-hour started at 14.35M viewers and a 2.2 demographic rating. 8:30PM grew to a massive 15.29M viewers and 2.5. rating.
Equally impressive is that the demographics essentially stayed even from day one. Adults 18-34 was at 1.6 (even), adults 18-49 at a 2.3 (down just 0.1), and adults 25-54 at 3.1 (even).
By every metric it’s an enormous success and the frenzy will only continue to grow as the series goes on. Jeopardy!: The Greatest of All Time continues at 8:00PM ET on ABC tonight with match three.
UPDATE: Final adjusted numbers are in, and Jeopardy! ended up increasing a bit. Its final result is a 2.4/12 in the A18-49 demographic and 14.9M viewers.
