“AGT” Act Steals Routine By Frank Nicotero Thumbnail

“AGT” Act Steals Routine By Frank Nicotero

When one comedian steals another comedian’s set, you know tempers will flare. All comics have a bit or two they do religiously with their audiences. They do it over and over again to master it, and it becomes their staple. You expect it. This exact situation happened during a taping for this season’s America’s Got Talent. The warm up comedian for the season is Frank Nicotero. You may know Nicotero from hosting the popular game show Street Smarts in the early 2000s. One of the acts that auditioned for AGT was The Greg Wilson. Wilson’s act contained a bit that Nicotero has been doing for years. It’s about a fight between a girl and a guy in a car where Nicotero pantomimes the entire bit. Click here to read about Nicotero's response on Facebook.

Howie and Howard Return to “America’s Got Talent”

The preliminary auditions for the 8th season of America's Got Talent are wrapping up, which means televised tapings will begin soon. With that, NBC has officially announced that Howie Mandel and Howard Stern will be returning to the judge's table along with their "X"s, and Nick Cannon as host. This is going to be Mandel's 4th season as a judge, and 2nd for Stern. Critics were skeptical with Stern's entrance to the show last year, noting it would hinder ratings. Last season, AGT finished #1 in its timeslot numerous times, with the season premiere averaging over 10 million viewers. Click here to read more and how you can get tickets to this season's tapings.

Review: “Weakest Link & Friends” Thumbnail

Review: “Weakest Link & Friends”

Just a few days ago, Ludia released Weakest Link & Friends in the iOS App Store. It was a pleasant surprise to see the game pop up after the U.S. version left the airwaves in 2003 and the U.K. version ending earlier this year. The game uses Facebook integration to keep track of your progress and to play against your friends. Ludia has already released a similar game engine for its Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader and Family Feud games for iOS, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on Facebook. Who Will Win “America’s Got Talent”? Thumbnail

Who Will Win “America’s Got Talent”?

Thousands of acts gave it their all in the past several months, but only six made it to last night’s finale show on America’s Got Talent. It was the best finale AGT has ever had. It’s the first, and only time, a singer has not made it into this position. That means a whole sleuth of variety performed on America’s biggest stage to vie for the country’s vote to take home $1,000,000 and become a headlining act. Last night we’ve had art, comedy, dogs, dancing and music. I don’t know about you, but I would pay just to see everyone perform together in one show. Still, there must be a winner. It’s going to be a very dramatic results show. Who stood out? Who fell short? Who will win?

Vote for “Millionaire” Halloween Lifelines

The new season of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire begins Monday, September 3rd. Of course, the biggest change is the new studio and set. For their upcoming Halloween Week shows, they would like to change up their lifelines. Instead of “Ask the Audience” and “Jump the Question,” the show is looking for a Halloween spin on the traditional lifelines. The execution of the lifelines will still remain the same. Instead, your input can change the name of them. Click here to learn how to vote.

“America’s Got Talent” Recap: Semi-final 1

Last night was the first semi-final show of this season’s America’s Got Talent. What an amazing night of talent. As soon as it was announced that only three acts would advance to the finals, you realize that some great acts will have to go home. The show did not disappoint. The judges were much more critical on each performance, so all the acts brought their best to the table. Last week was a crucial elimination, and some thought America got it wrong. “America’s Got Talent” Recap: Wild Card Show

Life is full of second chances. On last night’s America’s Got Talent, the Wild Card show gave those acts who didn’t make it into the semifinal shows another shot at advancing. Each judge picked four acts to return and vie for America’s votes. It was a fantastic night for talent. These acts know this is the final time they can woo the home audience. Halfway through the show, I already knew it would be difficult to narrow the field down to four. There were several acts that had me on the edge of seat, holding my breath. There were some that made me laugh. There were also performances that made me stand up and applaud. This isn’t going to be easy. Click here to see our top picks from last night's show.

“America’s Got Talent” Recap: YouTube Show

The 2012 Summer Olympics are officially over, which means America’s Got Talent is back to business in finding the next million dollar act. Last night was the YouTube Snapple Special. Over the past few months, America and the judges voted for acts that submitted their audition via YouTube, for a chance to appear live in New Jersey and perform. The top twelve acts came out, and let’s just say the show was a bit rocky. This is the third year AGT has partnered with YouTube, and really the only act since then that had a lasting impression was Jackie Evancho. Click here to read about last night's show.

Sharon Osbourne Quits “America’s Got Talent”

After being a judge for America’s Got Talent for six seasons, Sharon Osbourne is leaving the show. The news of Osbourne departing from the hit talent show has been up in the air for the past couple of weeks, beginning with a cryptic tweet she sent to fellow judge Howard Stern that read, “My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I'm not returning to @nbcagt, it's because…” That's all she wrote. Simon Cowell, the show’s producer, tried to negotiate with Osbourne and NBC. Unfortunately, it did not work. Click here to read about Sharon's departure.
