Video: Painful Overbid on “Price is Right” Showcase

Yesterday’s episode of The Price is Right generated an interesting ending.  Contestant Mitchell won his way on stage at the last possible moment and played Ten Chances for a new car.  Unfortunately he couldn’t get through the game and ended up with a portable heater and a camera.  He made it to the Showcase which consisted of a Sony Xperia phone with one year service, a trip to Key Largo, and a Chevy Spark.  Mitchell settled on a bid of $23,320.  You wouldn’t believe how close he got.

Take a look.

Have there been many overbids that close?  I’ve never seen any at just $5 before.  Amazing and disappointing.  His opponent, Marni, won over $30,000 in prizes including a trip to Italy.
