GSN Pays Tribute to Marcia Wallace on November 1st

Last week we lost the great actress, comedian, and activist Marcia Wallace at the age of 70.  Marcia’s most known credits include The Bob Newhart ShowThe Simpsons, and much more.  She was, of course, also known by us for her great contributions to Match GamePasswordPyramid, and many others.  GSN will pay tribute to Marcia this Friday, November 1st, from 8:00AM ET to 12:00PM ET.

The four-hour marathon will include four episodes of Match Game, two episodes of Password Plus, and two episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid. Click here to let us know your favorite Marcia Wallace moment and to learn more.

Genitalia on Match Game and the Harry/Hairy incident on Password Plus.

My favorite moments are: Harry/Hairy fiasco on Password Plus (I’m surprised that she didn’t whack Tom Kennedy with a pillow or something since we soooo steamed); her Censored answer on Match Game which brought everything to a halt; & on Match Game (circa 1980) when she told Brett was born around the Turn of the Century.

Marcia Wallace will be missed for her humor, staunch wit, & smarts. RIP Marcia!

  • Paul says:

Any idea what episodes of Match Game will air?

  • Matt says:

Mine is when Marcia was on Password Plus in 1980 when she was with Wesley Eure. She own the first game, then Wesley won every game for the rest of the week. The two would come back 3 weeks later to duke it out again. Marcia won the first 2 or games, then Wesley won the rest. Wesley Eure was on Days of Our Lives at the time before hosting the Nickeloden version of Finders Keepers in 1988.

    She will be missed.
