Who Will Win “America’s Got Talent” Season 8?
This is it. Tonight we discover the countryís newest headline Vegas act and the winner of $1,000,000 on Americaís Got Talent. This season was full of amazing talent, and the final was very diverse. We had singing, magic, comedy and dancing. Truly an entertaining show. The acts last night each had two performances. The first was a take on their original audition or an earlier performance in the competition, while the second was an entirely different set. Weíll go over all of the performances last night, and at the end, predict who we think will win it all. Itís going to be a fun night with close and shocking results.
Hereís a country singer who sings from the heart. He has the story and the appeal to the American public. And quite honestly, he just seems to be a really nice guy. That said, Rose is just a good singer. When stacked up with the rest of the competition, Roseís performance seemed okay. Nothing really stood out from it. Again, heís a really good performer with soul and passion. Thatís all he has going for him. His time at AGT didnít blow people away. Instead, itís his character that captivated home audiences.
Every week, Ebina brings something new to the table. Heís capable of moving quick and swiftly on his feet. He tells a story to keep us moving along each and every week. As a solo dancer, Ebina is fantastic. When the live shows began, Ebina took that opportunity to bring more of a technical element into his performances. He interacted with characters on a backdrop, which were all portrayed by Ebina himself. His timing is impeccable, and heís able to make those flawless transitions from scene to scene. Weíve seen his emotional range, from action to sorrow, to death to celebration. Everything you see is from the mind of Ebina, and that creativity is endless.
One of the best solo singers AGT has had in years. Bradleyís range enables her to put her own unique spin on some of the more popular songs in history. Her stage presence is beautiful. Her piano playing is amazing. Just like Rose, Bradley portrays her emotion in each and every performance. Whether itís pop, rock or classical, Bradley can make it her own. Regardless of the outcome tonight, Bradley has a bright future ahead of her. I have a history of bashing singers on AGT for winning multiple years, but if Bradley takes the title tonight, Iím very happy with that.
Seeing a magic act make it through this deep in the competition is always welcoming. You just want to see how an act like this culminates its entire season in one final performance. Key really likes using technology and social media to mesmerize the audience. Last night, Key predicted from a group of strangers the proper hashtags selected at random by the judges, and then having those individuals spell out his last name via random letters on the back of the cards containing those hashtags. Again, with acts like these, you can spend hours or minutes trying to dissect the act to see how itís done. Still, Key has shown improvement over the weeks by speeding up the tricks and making it more upbeat.
This trio of opera singers amazes the audience week after week with their breathtaking performances. Their unique image is what causes our jaws to drop to the floor during the performance, and make us stand up and applause one itís complete. The chemistry between these men is apparent, and they complement each otherís voices in succession. You hear their ranges, and once they begin to meld, harmonious goodness comes about.
Last year we had Tom Cotter in the finale. This year, we have Taylor Williamson. Of all the comedians that performed this year, Williamson stood out the most. His quirky, shy and awkward character is what makes him likable. His banter with judge Heidi Klum is always entertaining. Williamson also likes to push the envelop and tell edgy jokes. Not only are these jokes hilarious, but coming from Williamson is just an added bonus. Even after the performance is over, he continues to tell jokes and take jabs at the judges and host Nick Cannon. Williamson is truly a nice guy who is genuinely funny and is ready to surprise us with his jokes.
Hereís our prediction of tonightís results, based on last nightís performance and the overall level on each actís journey throughout the live shows:
- 5th Runner Up: Collins Key
- 4th Runner Up: Jimmy Rose
- 3rd Runner Up: Cami Bradley
- 2nd Runner Up: Taylor Williamson
- 1st Runner Up: Forte
- Winner: Kenichi Ebina
Who do you think will win? The live finale starts at 9PM ET tonight on NBC with guest performances and the results.
