“America’s Got Talent” – Quarterfinals 5
In last week’s results show, we saw Timber Brown, Cami Bradley, Taylor Williamson and Jimmy Rose advance in the competition. Last night’s theme was dancing and singing. It was one of the more entertaining nights this season from Radio City Music Hall. There were no buzzes from the judges, but I felt there were a few acts that deserved a reality check on that stage.
Catapult Entertainment – Act of the Night
Shadow art isn’t new to the show. We’ve seen Silhouettes do it, as well as this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner, Attraction. If you can put on a better performance than similar acts, that’s how you stand out. I still believe Attraction is better than Silhouettes and Catapult Entertainment. It’s now time for Catapult Entertainment to show what else they can do if they advance. I like the storyline in these performances because it will captivate audiences. Catapult Entertainment’s message was really powerful as they dedicated their performance to those affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, and wanted all of us to enjoy the little things in life. Truly gripping and amazing.
I think Fenley has one of the better male vocals of the season. He’s not only a likable person, but also very passionate. You hear that in his performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes it to the finals.
I know I keep saying it, but I think a comedian deserves to win this year, or at least see a few of them make it to the finals. Wing’s material had me laughing from beginning to end, including the judges. Wing’s “angry” persona adds to the humor. His bit with the three-word sentences was genius. There is a talented crop of comedians this year, and I think we’re in for a treat.
D’Angelo & Amanda
Best duo dance act of the night. Their movements are fluid as they put on a very dramatic performance. At such a young age, they move swift and effortlessly to keep up with each other and stay in unison. D’Angelo & Amanda have great chemistry. This allows them to deliver in each performance.
