“Whose Line is it Anyway?” and “Perfect Score” Debut July 16th on The CW
Back in the 1990s, ABC had a great two hour unscripted block of Whose Line is it Anyway? and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The CW will attempt to bring a larger audience to its network with the debut of a new two hour unscripted block on July 16th. It all kicks off with the eagerly anticipated revival of Whose Line is it Anyway? on Tuesday, July 16th, from 8:00 PM ET to 9:00PM ET. Two half hour episodes will run. The revival of the popular improv comedy show sees Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and Wayne Brady return with new host Aisha Tyler and a new guest every week. Ten episodes have been ordered for now. The series will begin taping in April.
Following that, at 9:00PM ET to 10:00PM ET, are two half-hour episodes of the Fremantle-produced dating/game show hybrid Perfect Score. The series, hosted by Arielle Kebbel, sees a pair of contestant try to choose a date from ten single men or women. Each has a dollar value attached…up to $50,000. The more compatible the match, the more money that person is worth. Through a series of eliminations contestants will end up choosing someone and getting the money attached to him or her. The person with the most money, and the most compatible date, wins.
The following week, starting Tuesday, July 23rd, the first half-hour of each block will feature a new episode while the latter half hour will be an encore in case you missed something last week.
I know many of you are looking forward to Whose Line is it Anyway? so asking who is excited for that is pointless. However, what do you think about Perfect Score? Does it sound like something that may interest you?
