“The Cube” Returns for Sixth Series on March 2nd

Does anyone have what it takes to beat The Cube?  We’ll find out in just a few weeks.  ITV has announced the sixth series of the futuristic stunt game hosted by Phillip Schofield will begin on Saturday, March 2nd, at 8:15PM UK (3:15PM ET).  Each episode sees contestants try to complete seven seemingly easy games to win £250,000.  However, nothing is easy once inside The Cube.  The last series ended December 2012.  Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah became the first person to beat The Cube and take home the jackpot.  Can we get the first civilian winner this time?  ITV has recently renewed the series for a seventh series which begins recording next month.  This will take The Cube, which began in August 2009, to over 50 episodes in the course of four years.  Mo Farah’s jackpot win was voted the best game show moment of 2012 by BuzzerBlog readers during the Best of 2012 countdown.
