“Wheel of Fortune” Schedules “NBA Week” This February
Basketball fans have big reasons to watch Wheel of Fortune this February. The long running syndicated game has teamed up with the NBA for a special “NBA Week.” Starting February 4th Pat Sajak and Vanna White will welcome special guests like NBA Hall of Famer James Worthy and Los Angeles Clippers stars Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, and Grant Hill to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary.
Other superstars such as Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Amar’e Stoudemire, John Wall, Andrew Bynum, Kevin Durant, Chris Bosh, and Steve Nash will also congratulate the show and introduce custom NBA prizes.
Wheel teamed up with NBA teams New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics to give basketball fans some great prizes during the week. Contestants could win special VIP prize packages including tickets to home games for each of the teams and a shopping spree to NBAStore.com. Of course the luckiest still have a shot at winning a million dollars.
Wheel will also decorate its set for “NBA Week”. ”Logoman,” the iconic silhouetted NBA logo, will be featured on the puzzleboard in place of the Wheel logo. The set will also be custom designed with team logos and jerseys. Check out “NBA Week” from February 4th through February 8th.

Last time a game show had an NBA special was O’Hurley Feud in ’07 I believe. Otherwise I don’t quite remember any NFL/MLB/NBA Specials in the past few years.
There were a few NFL specials on Minute to Win It though….
Wheel had NFL week annually from (1998?) until 2005-2006, and had one NBA players week in the mid 2000′s as well.
