Video: Hutchinson Family Wins $160,000 on “Family Feud”
We discussed it very briefly yesterday, but a massive congratulations goes to the Hutchinson family who took home a record $160,000 on Tuesday’s Family Feud. This is the largest single bank and the largest winning total ever for a team on Family Feud. It was a great, exciting moment made possible by Publisher’s Clearing House. Did you not get a chance to see the record breaking win, or do you live in a country where Feud is not available? Take a look below.
This clip shows the strength of Steve Harvey. We always talk about the comedy he injected into the show for good reason. However, he hosted the ending brilliantly. He played up the drama and got to business for that last answer. Steve is, truly, one of the best all-around game show hosts we’ve had since 2000.

A first-class hosting job and a first-class ending.
Thanks for your comment, Scott (not Steve!)
So, what was the setup of this… just randomly picked one show that the winners would get $160k (not even having to win fast money, just winning the front game it appears?). Seems kind of cheesy.
I think if they want to start giving bigger money away, they should start the Fast Money jackpot at like $20k, and then add $$10k for each show it isn’t won.
Not even close…
It was an 8-family, single elimination tournament. Starting at $40,000, fast money was played in each of the first 6 episodes, $20,000 being added to the pot each time. Naturally, the fast money rounds were a little easier, in hopes of boosting the pot.
I would really like to see them do it Burt’s Family Feud style and have Fast Money’s jackpot be determined by the amount of number one answers the first person can get during Fast Money. Make it $100K up for grabs everyday.
One of the finer moments in Feud history! Great game and win by the Hutchinsons, and a fantastic job by Steve Harvey hosting. Hope they bring it back next year! Feud is truly on a roll.
Thanks, Joseph. Really glad you enjoy the show.
Always nice to get such nice comments

Definitely liked the “up to 400 points rule” instrad of Fast Money
But then you could have a huge bank go down in flames jut because the family screws up Fast Money. Better to make sure someone wins guaranteed!
Seems like the partnership with Publishers’ Clearinghouse has worked out well for Freemantle. I’m hoping to see it pop up again on The Price is Right next season.
LOVE THE GAME , BUT THAT CRAZY CLAPPING FROM ALL THE CONTESTANTS, AND AUDIENCE, THROUGHOUT THE SHOW DRIVES ME NUTS~~MOST OFTEN I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF~~ANYONE ELSE AGREE WITH ME,?
I love the show. I watch both episodes daily. The show brings people together and shows family members supporting each other, even when they lose. It also demonstrates civility, as opponents shake hands and cheer for the winners success.
