“The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make A Deal” Schedule Super Bowl and Grammy Specials
CBS’s daytime game show block will soon be celebrating the network’s upcoming big primetime events. Both The Price is Right and Let’s Make A Deal will honor the Super Bowl and the Grammy Awards, respectively, with special episodes featuring cash, prizes, and celebrities from both.
First, on Friday, February 1st, The Price is Right will promote CBS’s Super Bowl 47 with a special edition. Drew Carey will welcome NFL Network personalities Rich Eisen and and Eric Davis to the set. New model Rob Wilson also returns. Prizes are football themed with trips to New Orleans, outdoor furniture, and, of course, cars up for grabs.
Then, on Friday, February 8th, Let’s Make A Deal will hold a special Grammy Awards edition. CBS hosts the 55th annual awards on February 10th. Host Wayne Brady, as well as Jonathan Mangum and Tiffany Coyne, will try to give away prizes like motorcycles, trips, big cash, and cars leading up to the biggest night in music. Popular new games such as Car Pong will be played also, so watch out for your favorites.

Who cares?! The way things have gone these past couple of weeks, nobody is going to win much of anything! And the NFL has become a joke! They rigged the conference title games.
Will TPIR’s NFL special be a Million Dollar Spectacular?
In all the times that TPIR did a show before the superbowl, it was always a regular episode. I doub’t we will see another MDS after they gave away $3,000,000 dollars away in the showcases and that lucky win in the Clock Game. This was when Drew was in his first few months as host after Bob left the show.
What if they bring back the MDS using the Barker format? Spin the The Big Wheel for $1 Million?
I’d rather they stuck to the format they had in 2008. And Andrew L. Budny should not doubt. The only reason we have yet to get another MDS lately is because of CBS’s prime time schedule these days. There is just little to no room.
As someone who worked with Rich Eisen years back in his early TV days, he is a LFAT of TPIR so I gotta believe he is pretty excited to get there and go backstage. Good for him. On the flip side, yes, things will probably be too tough to win anyway…
I told you guys that nobody was going to win! Price is right is dead!
