“Millionaire” Starts New Year with “Cruise In and Win Week” Starting January 7th
Who Wants to be a Millionaire is on break during the holidays, but when Meredith Vieira comes back you’ll be getting a way to start 2013 in style. Millionaire will bring back it’s “Cruise In and Win” week starting Monday, January 7th. Each contestant will have a cruise vacation attached to one of their questions during Round One. If that contestant gets it right he or she will be taking home a Disney Cruise Vacation along with whatever money is behind the question.
One of these lucky contestants, Sheri Barberini, plays today. Barberini, a CPA from Limerick, PA, has a pretty exciting game today which we’ll recap tomorrow. You’ll see some pretty big money questions this week and some rare events, so watch out.
One lucky viewer will get a chance to win as well. Starting January 7th you can go to the show’s website and enter the “Choose Your Cruise” sweepstakes. The winner will be able to choose a cruise on the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder setting sail from the newest Disney Cruise Line ports of Gavelston, Texas, or Miami, Florida. Good luck.

I actually thought Barberini would make it to the million dollar question. I would have gotten the $500,000 question. As for the $100,000, James Bond didn’t use a hat as a weapon, the writer must have been thinking of Oddjob.
What upset me is she had no mathematical forsight. Why not risk $35,000 at a chance to win $440,000 more. No game theory.
