BBC One Picks Up Objective Productions Game “Reflex”
What is essentially a spin-off of ITV’s The Cube, the long-developed game Reflex is finally getting to television. BBC One has announced they have picked up six 45 minute episodes of the stunt-based show hosted by Shane Richie.
Each episode sees two teams of three family members against each other in games that test their speed and reaction through five rounds. Challenges can involve reactions to explosions of every day actions, being fired through the air and falling through eight-feet-high balloons, jumping through glass panels, and others. The action will be seen through new state-of-the-art super slow-motion cameras. The day’s winners will win up to £20,000.
Format creator Adam Adler (The Cube), said “We’re creating a fun and entertaining test of human reaction times, covered by bespoke, state-of-the-art super slow-motion technology as well as new techniques which will allow viewers to see things never before captured in a game show.”
Reflex was first piloted for Channel 4 before moving to BBC One in July 2012. Read more about the pilot here.

If this show comes over to the USA, and we don’t get The Cube, I will be disappointed
Maybe in a parallel universe, The Cube has already come here…
We’re just in the wrong one… :(
