Video: Preview of NBC’s “Take It All”

We’re just one week away from the newest primetime game show.  NBC will debut Take It All on Monday, December 10th, at 9:00PM ET.  Hosted by Howie Mandel the game sees five contestants try to avoid the cheapest prize in a round by either taking one from the “Dream Screen” or stealing it from another contestant.  The final two contestants will play the “Prize Fight” where they can either choose to keep what they’ve won or Take It All from their opponent with the risk that if both Take It All, they both get nothing.

NBC has released several clips from the show.  We’re going to start you off by showcasing two clips.  The first shows the breas…I mean rules introduction.  You also get a contestant which every straight male reading will be extremely happy to watch.  The second clip shows the game in action, including the “Freeze” element.  If you want to stop someone from stealing your prize you can “Freeze” it, but you can only do it once per game.  Are these previews getting you excited?  We’ll have a few more throughout the week.

im slightly interested in this one but im not a big fan of the prisoners dilemma end game. yes it creates a exciting final moment but if both lose it feels like i wasted my time watching a show

  • Chris says:

I don’t know about this one. After seeing the clips, I feel like I am about to watch a train wreck. Maybe not as bad as “Still Standing”, but still not good.

  • Justin H says:

I wasn’t convinced at all in watching this show and now that I’ve seen these two previews… I’m even more convinced now that it won’t be worth watching.

  • Paco says:

After watching these previews, this show is not going to last long. I’m guessing Nbc new gimmick is to add a Game Show every Christmas thats going to not last long.

  • The Dragon says:

better potential then “Who’s Still Standing” I am curious about this more now, the format looks unique and not of a typical game show format, I hope NBC sells this show well and it attracts viewers.for a while.

  • Scott says:

It feels like something is missing in the clips… like background music. Something to hold the viewer in place while the contestants are deciding what to do.

Other than that, it looks like an interesting game. All dependant on luck, but interesting.

Much better than some of the other bad game shows we’ve had to endure recently.

  • Eric says:

Really? Santa guy. Again. He was on WSS and now it’s screaming xmas all over again.

  • Eric says:

Semi-Off-topic: What about the DoND: Winner Take All stunt? I LOVED that twist…

On topic: Anyone who picks share on this show is DEAD to me. I will send Christmas cards to those who steal.

I know i probably won’t be watching it, (only because i’m gonna be in florida on vacation.) (what time is it airing?)

  • Kevin $ says:

    This literally looks SO boring!!!

  • Daniel B. says:

“Are these previews getting you excited?”

Uh, no. Everything screams “typical NBC primetime game show crap”, especially the cutesy (read: barf-inducing) “Dream Screen” and “Prize Fight”.

If NBC wanted a game show about lots of prizes, they should’ve revived “Give-N-Take” and, oh I don’t know, try something different in DAYtime.

    • Scott says:

Personally, I don’t want to see another daytime game show.

Perhaps it’s just me, but I’d take a short-lived primetime million dollar game show over a party-style $25,000 daytime game show any day of the week.

  • Robert says:

This one seems stupid to me.

  • Ken in Hong Kong says:

Not for me. Too slow-paced. I’d take “The Chase” or “The Cube” over this any day. Even “Raid the Cage” looks better than this.

    • Eric C. says:

I know why people will like this…Their is no trivia involved like RTC (even though i have show the idea to several college kids and they LOVE the idea), but i may watch just so i can say i have seen another bad idea come out of NBC and be happy when it’s gone.

  • HD says:

So far, it’s living up to these comments. Of course, NBC takes anything they can’ get their hands on(and cancel). For once, cancelling this would make them look good.

  • Ernie says:

I think it was morally wrong for the woman to take it all. I couldnt believe my eyes, but I could tell she was a liar. Basically you have to be a liar to win on this show. Maybe the Santa guy should have chose take it all it hopes that she wouldn’t so they could have split 50-50 as I know he would have. Yep, figures, the woman took it all, no bad feelings at all and probably wont even think twice about giving any to guy who really deserves it. Truthfully I think they both should have either agreed to split it 50-50 or be happy with what they have. He was willing to be happy with $25,000 but she was not. I am saddened. It was the woman playing the man to believe in her and he did. Isn’t that the truth about certain woman? What a shame. If I knew how to contact him I would make a website just to raise money for his cause, he didn’t ask for much. I know in my heart he has given and given until he cant give anymore and still wants to give, a true Santa. What a man!

It’s interesting at the beginning, but it becomes the most stupid game show at the end. Any contestant at the end picking “keep mine” is the most idiotic person in the world since there is no incentive for picking this option. You think someone who know you for 30 minutes will choose, “keep mine” as he or she ‘promise.’ Give me a break, he or she just want you to pick “keep mine” and he or she will pick “take it all.” So anyone picks “keep mine” is the biggest idiot, the only option is “take it all,” and hoping your opponent is the idiotic one and picks “keep mine.” Of course, if your opponent also picks “take it all,” then neither of you wins anything, but at least your opponent can’t take your winnings. But then it’s like waste all our time of watching the show. So I am not watching it any more, unless they change the options at the end, like include more options which make it more unpredictable. Until then, it’s just a stupid game show. Don’t watch it.
