Watch: One of the Biggest “Family Feud” Comebacks Ever?
To win the $20,000 on Family Feud you basically have to find every number one answer on Fast Money. It’s tough but it happens often. However, when the first person botches the job it becomes pretty tough to catch up. The show released a very exciting moment from a recent episode. The first contestant playing Fast Money scored 54, barely over the threshold you typically need to have a shot at winning. Meg is coming out to see if she can get the 146 points needed to take home the $20,000. Can she do it in one of the most exciting Fast Money moments ever?
Take a look. Comments down further.
Obviously, taking a look around YouTube for wins from the 70s and 80s there have been bigger comebacks, but that has to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, of this modern version of Feud. What is most remarkable is how great Steve Harvey is with the contestant in this situation. He’s his usual funny self but he calms the contestant down and gets her to not focus on what she has to score, but just on the questions. That’s the sign of a great host and why Family Feud is enjoying so much success today.

The biggest comeback of all versions came from the Ray Combs era:

I wonder if starting next season if they’ll start not telling the second contestant in Fast Money what the first contestant got. Think about this at least: Steve did start saying the answers in the regular game backwords when no one else got them(starting from least to most points)
It’s funny you say that, because I’ve been watching the show a bit more now, and I was just thinking about how much harder it is to win the big money now compared to the Richard Karn days. It seems that more of the top answers are in the 20s, instead of the 40s, like they used to be. It makes it a little less fun, but the answers themselves usually make up for it.
My thoughts exactly. As a matter of fact, I saw an epsiode earlier this month where the 2 fast money players gave all 5 number 1 answers…and they still lost by 1 point. And in the Harvery era of Feud, I can only recall 3 families winning over $40,000 (though there hopefully are more). And 2 of those families are from this current season, and they weren’t even 5 day champions. Needless to say, winning fast money ain’t as easy as it used to be. Ironically enough, though, the show itself has never been better.
52 people said Kidneys??? I smell some BS here because I feel like the #1 answer would’ve been blood.
Two words: I agree.
Same with the other friends I’ve discussed this with
Honestly, I thought of kidney first myself. My two cents.
I thought “kidney” first as well.
Lots of folks thought “kidney”
Really fun TV ..watch the clip more than once. Meg’s facial expressions are great. She is funny & a great complement to Steve (…Stephen!) We are lucky to enjoy moments like this.
That was a great comeback, but I still think the most amazing Fast Money I’ve ever seen was on one of the All-Star shows from the Dawson era when Richard Simmons got all 200 points by himself.
I would have also said Kidneys. First thing that came to my mind.
