NBC’s “Take It All” Starts Production October 22nd; Get Tickets Now
NBC’s newest foray into game shows, Howie Mandel’s Take It All, is starting production next week. The game, formerly titled White Elephant, is based on the popular holiday party game. Recording will begin on Monday, October 22nd, in Los Angeles at NBC Universal Studios. Anyone 14 or over can sit in the audience and see who wins big. Seven recording times have been announced. Given the start times it’s looking to be a safe bet that Take It All will debut in NBC’s usual game show launching grounds of December, but nothing has been announced yet. We’ll let you know. In the meantime, if you want to take part in the recording and see the show live click here to get tickets.
On Take It All contestants will select an unmarked package from the show’s warehouse, all of which total millions of dollars. The next player in line faces a tough decision: do they steal a prize that someone has already opened…or do they open an unknown box hoping it’s worth more? By the end only two contestants will remain and must decide to either Share or Steal in the Prisoner’s Dilemma end game. If both choose to “Share” they keep everything they have won so far. If one chooses to “Share” and the other “Steal”, the person that chose “Steal” takes it all. However, if both choose “Steal”, both leave with nothing.

Looking forward to seeing Howie Mandel on my TV late at night hosting a gameshow again. Wish it was Deal Or No Deal again, but hey, I’ll take this too.
Same problem as always, what is the benefit of picking share? If your opponent steals you go home with nothing no matter what so try and get it all in my opinion.
Your idea reminds me of the (very) old 50s game “Hagis Baggis” with the late, great Dennis James as host (the main game was like Categories/Scattergories, a grid with a 5-letter word up top and five categoriess down the side. Akin to Concentration, answer the box correctly (by giving an example of the item starting with the letter) and a part of a famous face is revealed. Guesss the face, win the game.) The winner had the chance to pick a set of prizes as a reward for the other: One luxury, one reasonable. If each picks a different package, each wins. (Admittedly, shaky on the endgame rules…)
Interesting idea for a game show, but I HATE the prisoner’s dilemma end game. It felt tacked on to The Bank Job, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it will feel tacked on to this show as well.
Nice new name. While Elephant was rather unattractive.
Take It All, the Golden Balls of America! Not really but I Like the concept of it. I ALWAYS love a good prisoners dilemma and I think it will be a good show.
I hate the Prisoner’s Dilemma concept, but I’m happy that Howie is returning to hosting game shows again. If Take It All doesn’t work, he can always return to Deal or No Deal. :P
My prediction that it was going to air in December did seem to be correct.
But hopefully, they won’t “Santa-fy” the show like they did to Who’s Still Standing last year…
I can’t wait for this show! Howie makes me laugh my *** off, he is so flippin funny! I believe this show will blow up just like “deal or no deal” Howie you are amazing! Keep it going, I’d like to see you doing 5 new shows>>i’m sure you have all kinds ideas! ~Roxy
Take It All combines the elements of Deal or No Deal, Friend or Foe, Give-N-Take, Haggas Baggis, and Treasure Hunt all in one show. Nothing original is our motto.
With garbage like this, it is no wonder NBC ratings are so poor.
With garbage like this, it is no wonder NBC ratings are so poor. NBC has a long way to go.
This totally sounds like Golden Balls, U.S. edition to me!!!!
That oh so cool Howie Mandel. Sad that I wasn’t able to get any tickets. Are there any more promotions perhaps?
This reminds me a little of that GSN show “Friend or Foe?”…
