“Millionaire” Holds Second Round of Auditions at the World Famous Apollo on October 7
If you missed the first set of auditions for Who Wants to be a Millionaire at the World Famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, you are getting a second chance. The Meredith Vieira hosted quiz show will visit the theater on Sunday, October 7th, to find the country’s newest millionaire. Auditions will take place from 12:00PM to 5:00PM at the theater at 253 W. 125th Street in New York. Doors open at 11:00AM and admission is first-come-first-serve, so show up early. If you pass the exam you’ll then have a short one-on-one interview with a Millionaire producer.
“The decision to go back to the Apollo was a no-brainer,” said Millionaire’s Executive Producer, Rich Sirop. “The August auditions were very well attended and we found a lot of very smart, unique and entertaining contestants,” he added. Rich suggested playing the Millionaire Facebook game (click here to play) to prepare for the show since those questions are similar to what the show asks. Visit the show’s website for specific rules. Good luck. We’ve already had a few readers on the show this season. We’d love to see more.
Millionaire has already seen one big winning contestant from the Apollo auditions. Greg Saunders, an insurance adjuster from Holliswood, NY, won $53,100 after making it to Classic Millionaire but electing not to risk his bank for $100,000. Greg’s son, Brandon, also auditioned, passed, and will be playing on October 16th. He’s arranged for a very special surprise for his grandmother on that episode, so you’ll want to check that out.
