Weekend Replay: Jimmy Carr VS Mark Labbett on “The Chase”

I’m a very, very big fan of Jimmy Carr.  I find few comedians funnier than him.  Not only that but he’s more than willing to take part in celebrity editions of game shows.  He’s so deeply sarcastic in his act that it’s interesting to see his serious side during game play.  Despite his willingness to play, he just can’t luck out.  He lost £1,000,000 relatively early on The Million Pound Drop, and ended up with less than £1,000 on Deal or No Deal.  Add Jimmy Carr to the best quiz on the planet, The Chase, and it was a show we were never going to miss.  All three of his team mates have lost.  It’s just Jimmy versus Chaser Mark Labbett.  How much will Mark offer?  Furthermore, can Jimmy beat the Chaser twice and win money for the team in the Final Chase?

Well, at least he made a sensible choice on this show unlike Deal or no Deal. He really had nothing to lose by going for the 100,000 pounds, which ironically enough is the highest offer in the history of The Chase. He probably knew after the early comments he made what would happen if all 4 contestants lost their individual Chases and all he would do if he took the 5,000 pound offer is lose the other celebrities a shot at that for their charities as well.

Great stuff! Mark tweeted there was so much good banter back and forth during the recording that they just couldn’t keep it all.
