Jerrod Murr Wins $37,500 on “Let’s Ask America”
If you’re in one of the markets that airs the new syndicated game show Let’s Ask America, you already saw an exciting moment on Tuesday. Playing from home via Skype, contestant Jerrod Murr won a giant $37,500 by sitting in front of his computer. The game asks contestants to guess what answer a majority of people answered from a survey. Jerrod won the game with $7,500. The end game lets the champion bet any of his or her winnings on the final question. However, if the champion wagers it all, that person will play for five times his or her bank. Jerrod risked his entire $7,500, correctly answered the final question, and left with $37,500.
Check out the big moment below.
Have you had a chance to watch yet? If not, you can see the first episode below. I highly recommend watching if you can. It’s a remarkably entertaining, fun, and enjoyable game. It’s no big secret Let’s Ask America has an uphill battle, replacing Wheel of Fortune and/or Jeopardy! on Scripps owned stations, but they managed to put together one of the most entertaining syndicated game shows in a long time. I’m hoping to see a larger expansion in the future. Great way to pass a half hour.

OMG, this has got to be a joke. Scrips gave up Jeopardy! & Wheel for this garbage? This makes Entertainment Tonight look like an emmy award winner.
I think it’s a good show! Right now, Im sure all the players a stunt people, to get it going, which is understandable, but how will we know when it’s actually real people from the public who are playing the game?
Hi Linda,
I know it’s been a while since you posted this so you may not see it, but we are already real people on the show. I am the guy form this article. Despite all the haters form these comments, I hope the show makes it!
What time? What Channel?
Not sure about the show yet. What I can say is that it’s not on anywhere around me…unless you count the internet. But, shows that have people playing from home usually haven’t fared well. Hopefully that changes. We’ll see.
I’m in a Scripps market. And I have said this is DOA. It won’t last. And it will be the dumbest move Scripps has made….EVAR!
I just sat through this full show. What an effin’ joke. Nine questions in a half hour? Even “Millionaire” does more business than that. And I don’t have to explain “Jeopardy!” My original comment stands.
