“The Cube” Champion Mo Farah Wins 10,000m Gold at London 2012 Olympics
It’s a pretty slow news weekend but it gives me an excuse to show the video off again. If you managed to find London 2012 Olympic events on TV that didn’t involve trampoline or power walking then you may have seen some great games last night like some excellent soccer matches, a close US basketball game, and the men’s 10,000m finals. Mo Farah, the only person so far to beat ITV’s The Cube, won gold at the event last night, beating Galen Rupp by half a second. To say the reaction of Team GB fans was exuberant is an understatement. Take a look at Mo’s winning Cube moment as well as an interview with Mo celebrating his gold medal.
Beating The Cube…gold medals…he can apparently do anything.

For fun, also, since it’s making the rounds, here’s a pretty funny video of the BBC commentators about to pass out with excitement from the gold medal run.

An amazing win from an amazing athelete. It’s a shame we will never see this show in the states as long as Le Moonves is in charge of CBS. It’s a good show, but with big hits such as Survivor and with his wifes shows Big Brother and The Talk, this will never see the light of day.
And he’s hoping to win the event in which he’s currently world champion: the 5000m. :)
Well done, Mo. *nods*
I am making a regular pest of myself among some of my friends, trying to turn them on to “The Cube”. Mo Farah’s win in the Olympics just gives me another arow in my quiver, and this time, it may work in at least a couple of cases.
I don’t know if it’s Les Moonves himself that has kept “The Cube” from coming to the USA (as it darned well should!), or if there are other reasons as well.
Granted, some might not thnk Mo Farah’s episode is as good an introduction to “The Cube” as others might be, as Mo made nearly everything look dead easy! But–well, whatever it takes to expose people to this show!
