“The Chase” Returns to ITV on September 3rd
ITV’s popular daytime quiz show The Chase is coming back for a new series of episodes. New shows will begin on Monday, September 3rd, at 5:00PM UK (12:00PM ET). Bradley Walsh returns as host with Chasers Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, and Paul Sinha. Each episode sees a team of four try to outrun one of the Chasers in a rapid fire game of knowledge and guts, hoping to collect tens of thousands of pounds. The surviving contestants must then battle The Chaser one last time in the Final Chase for an equal share of the prize fund.
Over 220 episodes of the daytime version have aired. A celebrity version is currently running on Sunday nights on ITV. An American pilot for the Fox network was taped this summer. There has been no word, yet, if the show has been picked up or not.
Excited to see the show return? I know we are. Here’s a look at a recent celebrity edition.

Come on Fox! Greenlight this for the States! It would probably be a whole lot better and smarter than half of the drivel on the air today!
I’m with you, QuartrGuy … and I hope they stick with Mark Labbett and Brad Rutter as the chasers. It would be damn fun to have Mark go to the States for this. (I assume Fox would build a set rather than cart everyone to London.) Besides which, Mark is such a fan of American sports that it would be great to see how well he can compete against American contestants. Now, please don’t hate me for this … I love Bradley Walsh as the host, truly, but there are plenty of American hosts who could do equally well. Mark L. Walberg and George Gray come immediately to mind.
Well I don’t hate you for it. But I think if you’re going to ask for Mark Labbett on the American version then naturally you should have Bradley Walsh hosting. For me personally I would be less inclined to watch if it was someone else. Especially since Bradley speaks English and I can understand him.
