“The Price Is Right” Announces Annual Summer Contestant Search

For the fourth time, CBS’s daytime mainstay The Price Is Rightis holding nationwide auditions for potential spots in Contestant’s Row in their 41st season. They’ll be traveling to at least five locations during the month of August. Two people will be chosen from each location to receive a free trip to Los Angeles and a guaranteed spot in the audience. One of those people from each market will be guaranteed a chance to “come on down” and play on the show. I went to one of these events in 2010 and while the odds of actually getting on are astronomical, it was a harmless way to spend an afternoon. I had a good time with a friend and met some interesting people. If you’ve got free time that day and they’re in your area, head down there.
