Fox Pushes “Take Me Out” to Saturdays
If you’re a fan of Fox’s dating game show Take Me Out, like I am, this is your last Thursday to watch it. Regretfully Fox is moving the George Lopez hosted show to Saturday nights starting next week. Again, tonight’s episode will air as planned at 8:00PM ET. Next week, July 12th, a special episode of Mobbed will air in its place. You can find Take Me Out next on July 14th at 9:00PM ET following Cops. After tonight’s episode the show will have three editions to burn off on Saturday. Take Me Out debuted low and has only gone down from there. Last Thursday’s episode scored just 2.3 million viewers and a 1.0 in the 18-49 demographic. Very disappointed to see this happen with such a fun show.

And yet, it sounds like The Ripoff (er, The Cheese (er again, The Choice)) seems to survive, coupled with SYTYCD results…
I like the decision Fox has made to move the show two days back. The reason why is that i dont watch ttv on thursdays.

Take Me Out had great theme music, but that was about it. The rest of the show was dry and cheap, and it only lasted 8 episodes — less than Million Dollar Money Drop.
Maybe FOX will take a hint. We want an actual game show, instead of a dating show. They should have greenlighted The Cube or The Chase over this.
I’m surprised FOX hasn’t moved The Choice to Saturdays as well, but considering that the Season Finale is Next Thursday, I’m not surprised. It only had 6 episodes.
The only thing I really liked about “Take Me Out” was the theme music. I also have to admit that I think George Lopez is cool. I just don’t think he fit here, though.
The lines (“If you’re turned off, turn off”, etc.) were cheesy and so were the dances at the end of each round.
I will say this though…some of those girls were comical. Some of them made piggish men look good.
Not a surprise there really. What they should’ve done is move it to the old MADtv 11p time slot on Saturdays. TMO can be a good late night weekend show. It’s already funnier than SNL even though the lines George gives are cheesy as hell (Let the ____ meet the ____), it’s still funnier than anything SNL writers can make up.
the only think good about take me out is host george lopez humor on the show. i think george would make a good game show host
It’s had a reprieve, it matched its series high yesterday, apparently.
Good riddance.
