ABC’s “Shark Tank” Returns for New Season on September 14th
One of our favorites, Shark Tank, is returning for its fourth season on Friday, September 14 at 8:00PM ET on ABC. Shark Tank has been picked up for a full season for the first time, meaning you will catch 22 brand new episodes of the smartest reality show on television. Also, the show has been nominated for an Emmy award in the “Outstanding Reality Program” category for this year.
Venture capitalist Kevin O’Leary, technology mogul Robert Herjavec, fashion and branding expert Daymond John, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran return with their checkbooks ready to seal a deal with entrepreneurs. Last season, inventor, entrepreneur and the “Queen of QVC,” Lori Greiner, was featured in a few episodes. This season, she and Corcoran will rotate chairs. Each Shark brings his or her specialty to the table. Even if an entrepreneur is unable to seal a deal on the show, sometimes the exposure is enough to help their business.
For those unfamiliar with the show, here’s how it goes. Entrepreneurs pitch their products and services to a panel of wealthy investors, the Sharks, in the hopes of receiving an investment, in an exchange for an equity stake of their company. The entrepreneurs must convince at least one Shark to invest in the full amount they are asking for, nothing less. It gets very interesting when the Sharks begin countering offers made by other Sharks, teaming up with a fellow Shark, or just offering these entrepreneurs millions to relinquish complete ownership of the company. This is unscripted television at its best. O’Leary calls Shark Tank the “American Idol of venture capital.”
All of us at BuzzerBlog are huge fans of Shark Tank, and we can’t wait for the new season to begin. I follow all of the Sharks on Twitter, and based off some of the on-set tweets I’ve read, we are in for a very exciting season. The Sharks are hungry for money.

Thanks for the catch!
That’s what I’m here for :) Looking forward to the new season!
Interesting to see that it’s returning, but it’s still not as good as “Dragon’s Den” in Canada.
I don’t like a lot of realtiy television but I do like this show.
