BBC’s “Secret Fortune” Returns for Third Series on June 30th
BBC One’s popular lottery quiz show Secret Fortune is back. The Nick Knowles hosted game returns for its third series starting tomorrow, June 30th, at 8:20PM UK (3:20PM ET) on BBC One. Secret Fortune was voted the second best game show of 2011 on BuzzerBlog’s end-of-the-year poll and won best show in the UKGameshows Poll of the Year 2011. Each episode sees a team of two try to win up to £100,000 by answering various list-based trivia questions. Twenty four checks in envelopes are presented to the team. In each round select four envelopes and hope to eliminate the lowest valued checks by answering questions correctly. By the end of the show only one check will remain and be the team’s Secret Fortune. The second series averaged around four million viewers against some tough competition.
Here’s a highlight big win from the last series. We’re big fans of the show around here and couldn’t be happier to see it return. Are you excited to see it back? What do you think of the show?

Very excited to see it return. With the long delay since the last season of episodes, I almost thought BBC had cancelled it due to low ratings.
Now, my next question is when CBS will finally air it over here.
Last I remember, Donny Osmond was hosting the pilot, and CBS was using the excuse that they didn’t have any open spots in their schedule for it. Perhaps they’ll change their attitude?
Donny Osmond + Returning as a game show host = Recipe for disaster.
AGH!
“Secret Fortune will be postponed until next week due to the Wimbledon coverage. See you then… And C’mon MURRAY!”
EPIC FAIL. I don’t even like tennis.
I can think of a dozen people I would rather see host the American version of this show … including Bill Cullen! Can we get up a seance?
