Alex Trebek Back Home From Hospital, Records Message For Fans
On Wednesday, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek was released from the hospital following a minor heart attack. The program’s official website posted an audio update from Trebek, the first words from the host since being admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Trebek’s message, embedded into the site via an mp4 file with a still image of the program’s logo, says:
“Hi everyone, this is Alex Trebek and I just want to say thank you all so very much for the many kind words and prayers you’ve been sending in this past week. I am back home now, I’m recovering well and I’m very much looking forward to getting back into our studio in just a few weeks to start work on our 29th season of Jeopardy! Until we are back on the air with new shows in September, you all take care and thanks again.”
We at BuzzerBlog continue to wish Alex Trebek the best in preparation for another great season of the show and, above all, continued good health.

Glad to hear that Alex is doing well. Stay strong and I can’t wait for season 29 of Jeopardy!
Second! We’ll see you, in September as the song goes. In the meentime, take it easy Alex & do what ever the doctors tell you.
Mr. Trebek sounds great! I’m so glad he’s doing better, and can’t wait for Season 29!
I hope Alex can at least walk out the door on the set next season and stand next to the board in Final Jeopardy! as well. Good luck, Alex.
Enough.
Really great to hear that our good friend, Alex, is back resting at home.
Really fun that he is gearing up for another season.
