Sandi Toksvig to Host Channel 4′s “1001 Things You Should Know”
Sandi Toksvig has a new hosting gig. The author, comedienne, and actress will be leading the new Channel 4 daytime quiz show 1001 Things You Should Know which will debut this summer. The series sees experts posing questions to the day’s contestants on things they really should know. If they get that right then Sandi will ask a cash question to add more money to their pockets. If the winner can answer one final question correctly they’ll return the next show.
Sandi Toksvig has previously fronted the Channel 4 shows Time Team, Island Race, and The Talking Show. She also presented the Sky Arts quiz What The Dickens and has regularly appeared on shows like Whose Line is it Anyway?, QI, Mock The Week, and Have I Got News For You. Here’s a look at Sandi on Mock The Week.
1001 Things is produced by Thames TV. Suzy Lamb, Head of Entertainment, Thames commented: “We’re delighted Sandi is taking the helm of this exciting new commission for us. Questions will cover any area of general knowledge – from science and sport, to celebrity and books – and will give any viewer all the basic general knowledge you’d ever need!”

Don’t forget her regular hosting of BBC Radio 4′s The News Quiz.
Wow. I really thought Endemol would be behind this. That’s a downer.
Endemol has a good track record with making great music and sound effects for game shows. I wonder what their next project is going to be…
Which summer is this supposed to be aired in… because its now October and no sign of the show!
