“The Price is Right” Publishers Clearing House Plinko Week Ends With $80,000 Chip

The special Publishers Clearing House promotion on The Price is Right†has been exciting so far. †All week Plinko has been played, and the final chip dropped becomes very special. †If the final chip lands in the center slot the contestant will win an increasing jackpot starting at $20,000 and growing by that amount every time it isn’t won, courtesy of Publishers Clearing House. †It was won on Monday, but, despite some extremely close and exciting finishes, it’s stayed out of the center slot since. †That means that on Friday’s episode, the final chip dropped could net the contestant $80,000. †This also means that the day’s lucky contestant has up to $120,000 to win.

Check out Wednesday’s $40,000 and Thursday’s $60,000 attempt. †Both came very, very close. †I hope this has worked out for them because it’s been very entertaining to watch and, if given the opportunity to do it again next season, I’d love to see it back. †Great promotion.

Honestly, I thought I was gonna hate seeing Plinko every day of the week; I’ve always felt Plinko was the most overrated game in the lineup. (That doesn’t mean I hate the game, far from it in fact… I just fail to see why so many people think it’s the end-all-be-all of Pricing Games.) That said, I was surprised by how much I’m honestly getting into this, and for the first time since God-knows-when I find myself actually looking forward to hearing those harps.
