Channel 4 Orders Pilot of GSN Dating Show “Baggage”
GSN’s most popular show in close to a decade, Baggage, is making a jump to the United Kingdom. Channel 4, home of Deal or No Deal and The Million Pound Drop, has ordered a pilot of the Jerry Springer hosted dating show. Baggage is a unique dating game show which puts the ugliness of each dater out in the open to start. One person vies for a date with one of three people, but each of the three has bought various forms of “baggage”, from small and innocent to huge and jaw dropping. The tables are turned in the finale when the winner sees the main contestant’s baggage. Can he or she accept it, or is it just too much to handle?
The pilot is being produced by Chocolate Media, which is a subsidiary of NBC Universal International which makes the show. If picked up the show would make a jump to primetime for Channel 4. Baggage has also been picked up by LifestyleYou in Australia.

Shot in the dark question: Is Jerry Springer going to host C4′s Baggage? He was born in London and he’s hosted talk and game shows concurrently in the U.K. with “The Jerry Springer Show” — including the U.K.’s version of “Greed”
Well, if GSN doesn’t go ahead with a Season 4 of Baggage over here, Jerry might just be free to host the U.K. version. Either him, or Jeremy Kyle…
I could definitely see Jeremy Kyle do it, even though he’s toned down a little here stateside, he would be a nice fit over there for their launch of “Baggage”
