Meredith Vieira Challenges “Millionaire” Fans on Facebook Game September 8th

Ludia’s Facebook adaptation of Who Wants to be a Millionaire has been very popular, with over two million players.  I’m sure many of you are playing it or or will be soon.  Want to play it against Meredith Vieira, the show’s host?  Your chance has come.  Tomorrow, September 8th, Meredith will play the game live from 5:30PM ET to 6:30PM ET.  The game is free to play, it won’t send you any email if it tells you not to, and it’s a fun way to kill time.

Log on to the game’s website and play the app.  If you do you’ll get the chance to play against Meredith.  See if she has what it takes to win like the contestants she quizzes each day, or better yet see if you can outsmart Meredith.  Not only that you’ll get the chance to ask Meredith questions and she’ll answer as many as she can.  It’s a great way to interact with Meredith if you can’t get to New York City to see the show (get tickets here), so why not.  You may find me on Facebook playing also, so be on the lookout.

The Who Wants to be a Millionaire Facebook game plays similarly to the show.  Players face eight questions containing one of eight increasing dollar totals. The more people that miss the questions, the more money you get.  The top players get to face Classic Millionaire to win up to $1,000,000.  Players get two Jumps, which lets them get passed the question.  Very, very fun game.  Do many of you play it?

I’ll be there under ‘Chris Parsley, so go luck all on playing Meredith…

I didnt think today’s show was fair on that nice lady, here have a crack at the $250,000 question for either $1,000 or a copy of the Wii millionaire game??? How about a question you might have a shot with :)

I enjoy playing it. I will be playing my second game of the day at 5:30, hopefully Meredith will play in my game. The 5th Grader game is good too, although it’s nearly a direct copy of Millionaire’s game.

  • HDtheman says:

@Ben, how do you figure Millionaire and 5th are the same? Yeah, the company is Ludia, but two entirely different sets of questions. WWTBAM runs circles around 5th. I did bomb the final question in 5th though. lmao

I burned my four spare episodes for the FB game today. Got a free “Meredith” lifeline, but didn’t get to play against her, while some players reported that they did.

  • Chris Parsley says:

Didnt get to play Meredith, but in other gameshow (facebook) news both the $100k pyramid and million dollar money drop WENT LIVE today!

  • Counterpoint says:

Loving this whole “Not Available Outside of North America” thing at the moment…

    Hi Meredith,

You’re a great and beautiful hostess but some of your repetitive comments are very annoying. There are :
‘Are you ready’. ‘Audience, are you ready ‘ ‘Only 7 questions or 8 or whatever to a million’.

Nobody has ever won that million so find another phrase, please.

I trust it’s the sponsors that want you to use those phrases but they should give you another cue and be more avant-garde with different phrases or sentences to use in the future
