The Cube Returns
British television listings have confirmed the second series of ITV’s hit show, The Cube returns for their second series on Sunday 19th September, at 6.45pm on ITV1 and ITVHD. For those who don’t know, The Cube features contestants who could win up to £250,000 by completing, simple but complex games inside a large persplex cube. The games can be anything, such as counting up to 10 seconds in your head, bouncing a ball into a container, walking in a straight line while blindfolded and counting red squares on the floor.
The second series will once again be fronted by former Winning Lines and current This Morning host, Phillip Schofield. The new series will feature a mixture of brand new games and previous games from the first series. The ever slick bullet time returns but will now cover 270 degrees, up from 180 degrees on the first series, the new series will also be transmitted in High Definiton.
The change of day means the show will swap days with All Star Family Fortunes, who will now be airing their fifth series on Saturday evenings. Although swapping days might change viewing figures, ITV have decided to place The Cube as the lead in to Simon Cowell’s The X Factor. The Cube will be The X Factor’s lead in for the final audition shows and some of the live results shows.
We will be hoping to upload some clips from the new series once it arrives. In the meantime, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users can download the offical The Cube game for £1.79/$2.99 at the App Store, Alex has reviewed the game earlier this week, click here to read his thoughts .

Waiting for the clips with baited breath…
Clips would be okeh, but i am waiting for complete episodes to show up on YT!
When I take a shine to a game show, I like to beat the drum and let my friends know about it. I have shown “The Cube” to Chuckles Gardner (good and close friend), and he fell with the second mini-game he saw. (He thought “Stopzone” a little easy!)
I am still waiting to show other friends “The Crystal Maze”, but I would show them “The Cube” as well, had I the chance.
I only wish that this show will hit the states for real.
I can’t wait to see the new season this show is so much better then Minute to win it
I can’t wait to see the torrents
